So, indulging in a bit of fantasy modifications for a moment, I do like the look of the Aston Martin lights on the Mantis – from the V8 Vantage & DB9 I believe. This is what they look like on another, darker green Mantis.
I do think they really suit the back lines of the Mantis, aligning perfectly with the boot lid & following the following the wings around very nicely. Even the depth looks good, right on the cusp of sitting nicely between the top of the rear wing & the bottom of the under spoiler – anything deeper would make the back end look too busy. Fortunately for me perhaps these units require Ye Olde 12v blubs still with a lot of advice against trying to shoehorn LED bulbs into them, so my bank account is safe & I will stick with my current after market custom LED pods from SP Automotive.
